Hello everyone! I am so sorry about my absence, as I have been incredibly busy with school, theater, and general life. Over the past week and a half, I have been testing out these products to give them a fair chance and to give you the best review.
Elf Lip Products Review
Me being a big fan of anything lip-related, ELF is great for trying out colors and textures due to the price. Sometimes, I find a gem that I purchase over and over while other times I buy one and nothing I lost if I dislike it. Everything here is $1-$3.
Here I have five different products that I have to review:
Daisy Buchanan Inspired Makeup
Ever since seeing The Great Gatsby, I have been in love with anything pertaining to Daisy Buchanan. Her style, beauty, and deviousness is so unique. Today, I decided to have a little bit of fun and try to recreate her makeup from the movie. (I was going off of the scene where Gatsby has her come to Nick’s house for tea and he fills the entire house with flowers.)
Top 5: Red Drugstore Lipsticks
There is nothing I love more than a good red lipstick. Its empowering to wear them and they can take a drab makeup look to a really chic, lovely one. I actually go on streaks where all I buy is lip products- and I have an obnoxious amount of them in my vanity. These are the ones I always seem to reach for:
Five Essential Eye Brushes
Eye brushes are so important in a everyday makeup routine. To create a perfect, beautiful, and flawless eye look, brushes are needed. You don’t need 4,000 different brushes to have a professional finish, but you do need a few staples in your makeup kit that you can rely on. Here are my most used eye brushes:
My Go-To Lip Glosses
Almost every morning I am in a rush to put on all of my makeup, clothes, and pack to pack my bag. What lip product I am going to wear is not on my mind at all! So, when I have almost completed my face, I really just reach for whatever is closest, which are usually these:
Five Essential Face Brushes
When I was just getting into makeup, I didn’t use brushes. I would use the little plastic applicators that came in the palettes or products and always ended with streaks of color near my eyes and all over my face. Blending was nothing I knew of, blush or bronzer was out of the question! Only because I didn’t know how to use brushes properly. Now I use brushes everyday that give me flawless coverage and the best use of my cosmetics. I feel like the majority of girls and some women feel the same way, so I want to show you guys how I use these to give me the best looking makeup.
Coastal Scents 12 Eyeshadow Palettes
I have been buying Coastal Scent products forever. It’s reasonably priced, and the quality is actually great. I have tried about everything they come out with and am never disappointed. I was always intrigued by these palettes because they looked so gorgeous online. I have purchased three of these palettes from the website and cant wait to review them! They all retail for $16.95 but are usually on sale for less.
I am in love with all of these shades. Most of them are shimmer shades, a couple glitter, and one matte. As the name says, I mainly use this during late summer/ early fall due to the hues. They all have great pigment but can tend to be a little chalky or frosty if too much is applied. They blend easily enough, but come off much darker as shown in the pans. I wouldn’t recommend this for someone just staring out with makeup as the colors are a little hard to work with.
Update: International Thespian Society (ITS) Festival
WARNING: This is not fashion or beauty related but I wanted to share my weekend activities with you guys! *This goes super in-depth! Read with this in mind!*
I am a huge participant in my school’s theater department; plays, musicals, drama club, ext. I am also in my second year of taking drama classes, although I have taken them out of school a few years back. I take chorus at school and ballet at a studio. It is a major part of my life to act, dance, and sing.
I was chosen to be inducted to my school’s ITS Troupe #7833 along with 25 others to attend a festival. I decided that I just wanted to go to support, not actually showcase my acts. By doing that I had free range to go see my friend’s performances and to meet lots of other theater people. It was such a great experience!

Femme Couture Mineral Effects Loose Shadow
During a visit to Sally’s Beauty Supply about a year ago, I found these. (To my understanding these are now discontinued.) But I wanted to review them anyways. They are loose mineral pigments for eyes and work well either wet or dry. I picked up five of them in different shades, and I think they retailed for around $7.00-$10.00 each.
Here we have a review of Femme Couture Mineral Effects Eyeshadow:
